Please contact us for price informationOil painting on canvas from the 19th century by the german painter G. Otti. The painting is called "Der Niebelunge Liet", scene presumable presenting the wedding of Attila and the German princess Ildikó.
The historical core in the circle of songs tells us about the devestation of the Burgundy kingdom around the city of Worms, caused by the roman commander Flavius Aétius and his Hunnish auxiliaries in 436. Presumably this story also included the conflict at the Merovingian court between Brúnnhilde and Queen Fredegund (575) together with the narrative about Attila´s and the German princess Ildikós wedding in 453.
